Europe’s ties with China strategically important though Challenging: EU Commission President

European Union Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, while inaugurating the Raisina Dialogue 2022 in Delhi on April 25, described Europe’s relationship with China as strategically important and challenging.
“The relationship between EU and China is strategically important and challenging. All at once, China is a negotiating partner, an economic competitor and a systemic rival. We will continue to encourage Beijing to play its part in a peaceful and thriving Indo-Pacific region,” she said.
