Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has criticised the MACC for initiating an investigation against Court of Appeal judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali which he described as going against the principles of separation of powers.

He said he took note of the issue involving Nazlan and the claim that there is an unexplained RM1 million in his account.

However, he added that the institution of the judiciary has its own body that governs and controls the integrity of judges, which ensures that there would be a clear separation of powers in the existing system.
