Canadian pole performer holds herself upside down and dances on the ceiling

This incredible pole performer looks like she's dancing on the ceiling - as she holds herself completely upside down while doing the Cha Cha Slide. Julie Carver, 39, became a viral sensation after she posted a video of herself doing the steps to the hit song while upside down on the pole. The only thing that gives away that she's not stood on the floor is her long brown hair pointing upwards. Julie said: "My viral video is the first time I actually tried putting my feet flat against the ceiling and dancing to the beat! "It is definitely one of my favourite tricks, I like that there are variations to it and that it helps build my strength. "When I pole in public, people are usually shocked at how pretty it is or how much strength it takes. "I would love for people to know that anyone can do pole, any age, gender, shape or size. You don’t need to be strong or flexible." Julie started pole fitness five years ago when she was working as a professional belly dancer and was curious about giving it a try. She said: "I had been wanting to try pole for a while but was worried I didn’t have enough upper body strength. "I finally signed up to a session on a whim the night before it started. "I’m not a gym person, so I love that I get a workout out of it while also having fun and being creative. "I’m always learning something new on the pole, it never stops!"
