On April 19, the central government advised Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra and Mizoram to keep an eye on the Covid-19 situation in their states. These states and Union Territory of Delhi have been reporting a higher contribution to India's Covid-19 caseload and a higher positivity rate, reported PTI. As reported by PTI, the Centre advised them to focus on monitoring clusters of fresh cases and containment efforts for curbing the spread of the infection. The Centre advised them to focus on vaccination of the eligible population, including primary vaccination and administration of precaution doses.
