Disturbed Style Hard Rock Backing Track in Drop C# Tuning (F# Minor - C# Phrygian)
This is a riff-heavy track roughly in the style of one of the all-time great hard rock bands, Disturbed (guitarist: Dan Donegan). It is recorded with drop C# tuning (also known as drop Db), and is played in the C# Phrygian mode (equivalent to A major or F# minor). When playing or singing along, both C# minor and F# minor scales fit the track. When playing in drop C#, the 1st pentatonic positions of these two scales will have the index finger on the 10th or 15th fret of the high D# string. If you are looking for a progression to solo over that is not the main riff, there is a dedicated solo section at 2:04 that is incorporated into the riff. For the video, I've run through my main drumkit pieces for this track on Addictive Drums 2.
