Union Minister Anurag Thakur on April 16, condemned the silence of Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi over Karauli violence and said that more than 60 such incidents took place in Rajasthan but government failed to curb violence.

"Not just Karauli but many such incidents have been reported but Sonia Gandhi is silent over these issues. In the last year, more than 60 such incidents took place in Rajasthan. She should look at violence cases in Rajasthan and how their government has failed to take action against the rioters,” he said.

Taking a political jibe at the opposition leaders, the Union Minister said that the opposition was busy in baseless accusations. “Opposition parties are sowing the seed of hatred in the country,” he added.
