मदुरै के चिथिराई महोत्सव में वैगई नदी में भगवान कल्लाझगर की इंट्री देखने बड़ी संख्या में भक्त पहुंचे थे. मदुरै के सरकारी अस्पताल के डीन ए रथिनवे ने एएनआई को बताया कि वैगई नदी में भगवान कल्लाझगर की एक झलक पाने के लिए उमड़े थे. तभी भीड़ में दो लोग फंस गए. जिनकी कुचलने से मौत हो गई. बता दें कि चिथिराई महोत्सव शैव और वैष्णव एकता के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित किया जाता है.
