Dennis Wayne Hope worked as a grocery store clerk and studied the armored-car security guard who collects the cash from the store each day. Finally he puts his plan into action, and robs multiple stores. Hope is caught and sentenced to 80-years in prison. He fears for his safety and believes his only option is escape. Hope sabotages the prison power system and cuts the prison's fences. He spends the next two months on a crime spree, living a free life until the cops convince his girlfriend to help capture Hope and put him back in prison.
