Dad Accidentally Breaks Daughter's Bed

Occurred on April 4, 2022 / Houston, Texas, USA
: "One weekday evening after dinner, my daughter and I headed upstairs to her bedroom to start getting her ready for bed. My husband followed us to help. While I put something away in her dresser, she asked my husband, James, to dive into her bed (I later found out he’d done this several times before with no issue). He runs into my daughter Harper’s room and does a flying leap toward her bed. Upon landing we all hear a loud 'crack' as one of the wood supports beneath the mattress breaks in half, pulling another wooden support for the slats off with it. I’m obviously pretty shocked (and peeved) at what just occurred and put my hands on my hips while James slowly gets off the bed to investigate the damage. Harper notices wood on the floor beneath the bed and James and I lift up the mattress to survey the damage. Our Ring security camera captured these events."
