The History of Al-Markaz Al Islami Mosque

During his journey to Mount Arafat in Saudi Arabia, General M Jusuf got enlightenment to build a mosque. Then he expressed his wish to the vice President, Jusuf Kalla.
General Jusuf wished Makassar, a city in South Sulawesi Province, to have a large mosque that was similar to the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
From that idea, the construction of the Al Markaz Al Islami Mosque was built in 1994. See more in the video.
