Brits still back Royal Family - despite 5% rise in calls to abolish monarchy

As Britain's longest-serving sovereign of all time, Queen Elizabeth II has remained popular throughout her 70-year reign. But the Queen and the Royal Family is not immune to negative commentary, and the latest polling data suggests some have lost faith in the monarchy as an institution.  Pollster Ipsos Mori has released its latest research into public opinions on the Royal Family, and 2,055 British adults were surveyed online between March 24 to 25. Crucially, the March 2022 survey found that 22 percent of respondents think it would be better for Britain if the monarchy was abolished in the future. In comparison to the survey of March 3 to 4, 2021, where only 17 percent of respondents belie ...
