According to NPR, FDA officials are
convening on April 6 to discuss the next possible round of booster shots.
The FDA has already authorized a second booster shot for Americans 50 and older.
The BA.2 subvariant of Omicron has
exploded in other countries around
the world and is now the dominant
strain in the United States as well.
If new variants are to emerge,
experts say the same old vaccine may
not be able to quell any new surges.
