Four Ukrainian first responders were able to marry their loved ones in a civil ceremony in Kyiv on March 23, before they were inevitably forced to return to the front lines of the ongoing conflict. Each of the married couples received followers and were able to take pictures.

‘Congratulations to the newlyweds on such an important event for them,’ said SES Kyiv, in a Facebook post. ‘Life goes on.’
