People over 50 years old and those with weak immune systems may now get a second booster shot for COVID-19.

Both the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Food and Drug Administration approved the expansion of the emergency use authorization for a fourth dose. A second booster can be given four months after the first one for Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
