Shapps calls for P&O boss to resign

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has called on the boss of P&O Ferries Peter Hebblethwaite to step down after he admitted the firm broke employment law when it sacked 800 staff members without notice.

Mr Shapps said: "I thought it was brazen, breathtaking, arrogant ... I can't imagine he'll be able to remain in that job. They're a private company but it seems to me he should go." Report by Buseld.
