The Kuala Lumpur High Court heard on Wednesday that the 1MDB management had conned the company's board of directors and former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak into entering a joint venture with PetroSaudi International Ltd.

This was suggested by Najib’s lead counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah during cross-examination to witness and former 1MDB non-excuetive director Tan Sri Ismee Ismail.
