Following the violence in Birbhum district of West Bengal, in which eight people were killed, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on March 22 said that he will meet President Ram Nath Kovind over the incident. Speaking to ANI, he said, "SIT is of no use. I will meet the President of India over the Birbhum incident, will suggest he consider (imposing) Article 355 in the state.
