The pandemic has caused a global slowdown in sukuk growth, at least in the short term. Fitch Ratings' Global Head of Islamic Finance, Bashar Al Natoor argues that because governments' borrowing needs will continue to rise, the Sukuk market could enter a busy phase in post-Covid era.
