Aunt Dahlia demands Bertie's assistance in charming a best-selling author for her refined ladies' magazine.
Arriving at Marsham Manor he is alarmed to discover Madeline and Spode present, newly elevated as Lord Sidcup, and a rather saucy painting that no-one likes but cannot bring themselves to destroy. Bingo, meanwhile, has fallen in love with the daughter of a hardline revolutionary socialist!
