When Bhagwant Mann was taking the oath of office and secrecy as the new CM, the land of Punjab was creating a new political-chapter in a similar fashion. When the Aam Aadmi Party entered the fray with months of hard work and aspirations to make a place for the party in the heart of Punjab, it probably could not have believed itself that the people of Punjab would make it sit on its eyelids like this.


सिर पर बसंती पग, मस्तक पर तेज, आवाज़ में जीत का रौब, शब्दों में सेवा भाव की सौगंध, फिज़ा में फाग मास की सुगंध, चेहरों पर मुस्कान और चाहने वालों-समर्थकों का जयगान। भगवंत मान जब नए सीएम के तौर पर पद और गोपनियता की शपथ ले रहे थे, तब पंजाब की धरती कुछ इसी अंदाज़ में एक नया राजनीतिक-अध्याय रच रही थी। महीनों की कड़ी मेहनत और पंजाब के दिल में पार्टी के लिये जगह बनाने की हसरतों के साथ आम आदमी पार्टी जब मैदान में उतरी थी, तब शायद उसे खुद को यकीन नहीं रहा होगा, कि पंजाब की आवाम उसे इस तरह से पलकों पर बैठा लेगी।
