The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has performed brilliantly in the Zilla Parishad elections of Odisha. BJD has created a new history by capturing the seats of the Zilla Parishads of all the 30 districts of the state. The special thing about these elections is that 70 percent women have become the district panchayat presidents. This is the first time that a large number of women are leading the districts in Odisha.
