JOHOR BAHRU - For Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) secretary-general Amira Aisya Abd Aziz, taking a shot at running for public office seems the appropriate thing to do.

The 27-year-old stated there is a need for change in Malaysian politics, a shift from the old ways of doing things and youth such as herself must lead the way.

Amira is contesting in the Puteri Wangsa state seat and is set against Pejuang's Dr Khairil Anwar Razali, PN's Loh Kah Yong ,Steven Choong Shiau Yoon from Parti Bangsa Malaysia, BN's Ng Yew Aik and independent Adzrin Adam.
