Frank & Debbie Islam Management Complex is a unique initiative of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). This project was conceived during the World Alumni Summit of 2008 with an initial investment by Mr. Ameer Ahmad, an AMU alumnus and Mr A.G. Danish, an Assistant Professor, AMU. The project got a major fillip when Dr. Frank F Islam, a Washington-based alumnus of AMU, and his wife Ms. Debbie Driesman, through their Frank Islam and Debbie Driesman Foundation (FIDDF), pledged USD 2 million for the initiative. This steered the incubation centre to bring Muslim women, who are often left on the fringes of the society, to train in entrepreneurial skills that can help kick start their small businesses.
