After the suspension of Congress MLA Raghuvir Singh Kadian from attending the remaining sittings of the Budget Session following the ruckus over the Anti-Conversion Bill, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on March 4 said that the leaders of our Opposition tore up the motion placed on the table and refused to apologise. “While introducing the Freedom of Religion Bill in the House, the leaders of our opposition tore up the motion placed on the table. Taking cognizance of this, the speaker asked those leaders to apologise. When they did not do so, they were suspended for the rest of the period,” he said.
