The Congress party has decided to move the Supreme Court against a decision of the Election Commission regarding the assembly elections in Manipur. In fact, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh told on Saturday that the Congress party will file a petition in the Supreme Court regarding a decision of the Election Commission. He said that just before the second phase of polling, the BJP-led Manipur government has paid crores of rupees to "prohibited extremist organizations" within the state, which the Election Commission did not consider as a violation of the model code of conduct.

मणिपुर में विधानसभा चुनाव को लेकर चुनाव आयोग के एक फैसले के खिलाफ कांग्रेस पार्टी ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट जाने का फैसला किया है। दरअसल, कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता जयराम रमेश ने शनिवार को बताया कि कांग्रेस पार्टी चुनाव आयोग के एक फैसले को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दाखिल करेगी। उन्होंने बताया कि दूसरे चरण के मतदान से से ठीक पहले भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाली मणिपुर सरकार ने राज्य के अंदर 'प्रतिबंधित उग्रवादी संगठनों' को करोड़ों रुपए का भुगतान किया है, जिसे चुनाव आयोग ने आदर्श आचार संहिता का उल्लंघन नहीं माना।
