I Had To Choose Between My Voice and My Face | BORN DIFFERENT
  • 2 years ago
BORN with a Cystic Hygroma, Zackery Brown was given the option of removing it at the cost of possibly losing his tongue and ability to speak. Although he wanted to have the surgery, he knew he would regret losing his voice for the rest of his life. He decided not to go ahead with it knowing that if he had to choose between the two, his voice was unquestionably more important. After becoming hooked on games because he wouldn’t have to show himself, he decided enough was enough, found a job and hit the gym. The now ripped 28-year-old found the confidence he needed from working out - and has never looked back. Zack said: “When I was younger my life was on video games, I would play 14 hours a day. I had a $5,000 gaming set up and I sold it all. I started going to the gym because training helps me with my confidence. I started looking for work, met more people and everything just fell into place."
