In the sixth and seventh phases of Uttar Pradesh, elections will be held in Purvanchal of Uttar Pradesh. A close contest is expected between the Samajwadi Party and the BJP in Purvanchal. The alliance partners of BJP and SP will also play an important role in Purvanchal. The SP has tiedup with Omprakash Rajbhar's party Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party. On the other hand, BJP has tiedup with Apna Dal (Sonelal) and Nishad Party.

उत्तर प्रदेश के छठे और सातवें चरण में उत्तर प्रदेश के पूर्वांचल में चुनाव होगा. पुर्वांचल में समाजवादी पार्टी और बीजेपी के बीच कांटे का मुकाबला होने की उम्मीद है. पूर्वांचल में भाजपा और सपा के गठबंधन साथी भी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएंगे. सपा ने ओमप्रकाश राजभर की पार्टी सुहेलदेव भारतीय समाज पार्टी के साथ गठबंधन किया है. वहीं बीजेपी ने अपना दल (सोनेलाल) और निषाद पार्टी के साथ गठबंधन किया है.
