Maha Shivratri is a big festival of Hinduism. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival of Mahashivaratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Falgun. On this day the devotees of Shiva worship and fast according to the law of Bholenath. This time the fast of Mahashivratri will be kept on Tuesday, March 1. It is believed that on this festival, a devotee of Shiva who remains absorbed in worshiping Shiva throughout the day while fasting, his wishes are definitely fulfilled.

महाशिवरात्रि हिंदू धर्म का बड़ा त्योहार है. हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार,फाल्गुन माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्दशी तिथि को महाशिवरात्रि का पर्व मनाया जाता है.इस दिन शिव के भक्त भोलेनाथ की विधि-विधान से पूजा और व्रत करते हैं. इस बार महाशिवरात्रि का व्रत एक मार्च, मंगलवार को रखा जाएगा. ऐसी मान्यता है कि इस पर्व पर जो शिव भक्त उपवास रहते हुए दिन भर शिव आराधना में लीन रहता है उसकी मनोकामनाएं जरूर पूरी होती हैं.
