Labor backs blocking Russia from SWIFT, calls for further sanctions

The federal opposition says Australia should apply the most comprehensive sanctions possible to target the Russian economy and President Vladimir Putin. Shadow Foreign Minister Penny Wong has welcomed the decision to exclude Russia from the SWIFT international bank settlement system and told insiders Labor will support additional sanctions.
