The debate about wearing hijab in Karnataka's schools and colleges has now reached Delhi as well. South Delhi Municipal Corporation chairman Nikita Sharma has issued a notice saying that only children in school dress will get entry in the school. He said that wearing clothes of any religious identity is prohibited. Parents send their children to school in school uniform only.

कर्नाटक के स्कूलों और कॉलेजों में हिजाब पहनने को लेकर छिड़ी बहस अब दिल्‍ली तक भी पहुंच गई है. South Delhi Municipal Corporation chairman Nikita Sharma ने नोटिस जारी कर कहा है कि सिर्फ स्कूल ड्रेस में ही बच्‍चों को स्‍कूल में एंट्री मिलेगी. उन्‍होंने कहा कि किसी भी धार्मिक पहचान के कपड़े पहनकर स्‍कूल आने की मनाही है. अभिभावक अपने बच्‍चों को केवल स्‍कूल यूनिफॉर्म में ही स्‍कूल भेजें.
