Tattooing could be legalised in South Korea as presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung promises his support. Tattooing in South Korea is currently only legal if performed by a licensed medical professional. Unlicensed tattoo artists face hefty fines and prison terms if found by the police, but for customers, getting a tattoo is not banned.
