Punjab Polls Voting Percentage, Uttar Pradesh Polls Phase 3 Voting Percentage

On February 20, Punjab voted to elect the next government in the state. Single phase voting was conducted in the state. Punjab recorded an average voter turnout of 65.50 per cent. The voter turnout in 2017 was over 77 per cent. This time the ruling Congress party is facing a tough fight from the coalition of BJP and Amarinder Singh’s Punjab Lok Congress and the AAP & the Akali Dal-BSP combine. Congress named Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi as their CM face. AAP named Bhagwant Mann as their Chief Ministerial candidate. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded a voter turnout of 60.1 per cent in the third phase of voting. In all, seven phases will be conducted. Counting of votes in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand will take place on March 10. Watch the video to know more.
