One of the highly anticipated movies of the year starring Rajkumaar Rao, Badhaai Do is a Harshvardhan Kulkarni directorial film that revolves around a gay man and a lesbian women who enter into a marriage instead of coming out and conveniencing their families to appease their parents.
The actress spoke about the way in which she connected with the film and what made her say yes to this project. She explains how Badhaai do is very true to the franchise as it revolves around a subject that has a lot of stigma in the society that is a complete taboo and it does this while making people laugh.
The actress also addressed the issue of pay parity and how she wants to see more women working at places of power behind the camera as directors and women writing the story and narrative.
