Lucknow Cantt assembly seat is considered to be very important in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. Here the votes will be cast on February 23 in the fourth phase. This time there is competition in between Dilpreet Singh of Congress, Brijesh Pathak of BJP, Raju Gandhi of Samajwadi Party and Anil Pandey of BSP. Lucknow Cantt assembly seat has been a Congress stronghold in the initial years after independence. Seven times BJP and Congress party's candidate have also won seven times. Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party candidates never got victory in this seat. Brahmin candidates have got maximum victory in this seat.

उत्तर प्रदेश की सियासत में लखनऊ कैंट विधानसभा सीट को काफी अहम माना जाता है.यहां चौथे चरण में 23 फरवरी वोट डाले जाएंगे.इस बार यहां कांग्रेस के दिलप्रीत सिंह, बीजेपी के बृजेश पाठक, समाजवादी पार्टी के राजू गांधी और बीएसपी के अनिल पांडे के बीच मुकाबला है.लखनऊ कैंट विधानसभा सीट आजादी के बाद शुरुआती साल में कांग्रेस का गढ़ रही है.सात बार बीजेपी और सात दफे ही कांग्रेस पार्टी के उम्मीदवार को भी जीत मिली है.इस सीट पर समाजवादी पार्टी और बहुजन समाज पार्टी के उम्मीदवारों को कभी जीत नहीं मिली.
इस सीट पर ब्राह्मण प्रत्याशियों को सबसे ज्यादा जीत हासिल हुई है.
