Trolls Mock My Face Tattoos - How Will I Look Without Them? I TRANSFORMED
  • 2 years ago
SELF-CONFESSED “tattoo addict” Sarah is transforming her look to see herself without tattoos for the first time in nearly a decade. Sarah Howells, 26, from Essex, has extensive inking on her face and body and plans to have many more. Sarah, who got her first tattoo when she was 18, told Truly: “I think when I have the tattoos covered I will get a little emotional - hopefully, I don’t like it too much!” Since getting her first-ever tattoo, Sarah has developed a bit of an addiction. “I’ve always been interested in them,” she said. “I love the artwork.” She began getting facial tattoos four years ago and her most recent one was done in 2021. “I’ll never stop getting them although a lot of people don’t agree with it,” she admits. Although people have judged her look in the past and have misconceptions about her, she doesn't let it get her down. “People see me as a criminal or someone who can’t get a job,” she said. “But I don’t think of anyone else’s opinions.” Sarah feels her inked look is a massive part of her personality and says the tattoos give her a real boost of confidence, so whilst she’s excited to see them covered up, it’s not something she’d consider permanently: “I wouldn’t mind covering them again once in a blue moon but I love my tattoos - they make me, me.”
