In an exclusive interview to FinancialExpress.com, BJP national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the Opposition spread the Karnataka Hijab issue nationally and brought it into Uttar Pradesh. He said that the issue should have remained localised, but was politicised, adding that those who often spoke in favour of women wearing jeans and mini-skirt were now advocating wearing burqas.
