August Brooksbank’s birth announcement broke royal traditions in more ways than one as the princess shared his entrance to the world in a much more modern way. Royal babies have traditionally been introduced with a photocall outside the hospital just a few hours after their birth. However, the princess marked her son’s arrival with a sweet Instagram post of a black and white picture of her and her husband’s hands cradling a tiny baby’s hand and arm. The post was captioned with three blue hearts and two exclamation marks.
