Justice Krishna S Dixit of the Karnataka High Court referred the petitions regarding the right of Muslim girls to wear hijabs to classrooms to a larger bench. Controversially, he did not order any interim relief for the protection of the girl students, saying the larger bench should do that when they hear the matter.
