Russia denounces the deployment of several thousand more US troops to Eastern Europe, calling it a destructive move.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Alexander Grushko, says the reinforcement will stoke military tensions. According to the US defense department, two-thousand soldiers will be headed to Europe in coming days while one-thousand service members will be relocated from Germany to Romania. The new troops are separate from around 85-hundred American soldiers, put on alert near the Ukrainian border. That’s while Washington accuses Moscow of fabricating the context of invasion on Ukraine, citing the deployment of Russian troops for its claim. Russia rejects the accusation, saying it has piled up its troops on its own soil for defensive purposes in the face of NATO’s eastward expansion.
