According to a recent study, one third
of couples in the U.K. spend a total of about
43 days a year streaming TV. .
Advanced Television reports that research by connectivity provider TalkTalk found a number of interesting statistics about couples' habits. .

58% of people said they would watch a show that they hate just because their partner loves it. .
Psychologist Mel Schilling says that
it's important for couples to find a balance. .
Partners shouldn’t compromise on their taste
too much. Most couples have TV shows that
they watch exclusively on their own and
others that they share with their partner.
This is a sign of a healthy balance between
togetherness and independence, Mel Schilling, First Sight Psychologist, via Advanced Television.
The study also reportedly found that
23% of people insist on pausing
a show if their partner wants to talk. .
More than 20% get annoyed when their partner
has to ask questions after not paying attention. .
According to network data, more people
stream TV on Sunday evening
at 9 p.m. than at any other time. .
Most couples watch either crime/police
dramas (62%) or documentaries (50%). .
The least-watched genres by couples include sci-fi/fantasy (30%) and romantic comedies (24%).
