Sanjay Raut defends wine sale at supermarkets, says Pragya Thakur had also talked in favour of liquor

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on January 29 hit out at the Bhartiya Janata Party for slamming the Uddhav Thackeray-led government's decision to allow the sale of wine at supermarkets and walk-in shops in the state. “Fadnavis government planned to make a policy of giving home delivery of liquor online, what was that? BJP MP Sadhvi Pragya has also said that liquor is medicine & drink it in small quantities,” said Raut. Earlier, BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur on January 20 supported the party leader Uma Bharti’s demand for liquor ban in Madhya Pradesh. “As per Ayurveda, liquor works as a medicine if consumed in a limited quantity,” she had said.
