Pittsburgh Bridge Collapses Hours Before Biden Infrastructure Visit

A bridge in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania collapsed this morning, hours before a planned visit by President Biden to discuss infrastructure.

The Fern Hollow Bridge, carrying Forbes Avenue over Frick Park, collapsed at 6:39am EST this Friday morning, leaving four vehicles and a bus on the buckled roadway.

10 injuries, with no fatalities, were reported from the incident.

Biden added a stop at the collapsed bridge during his visit, stating of the city’s vulnerable bridges “We are going to fix them all.”
