The landscape of the Shoalhaven region on the south coast of New South Wales inspired countless paintings by the late artist Arthur Boyd. But a collection of his works at his former residence was seriously threatened during the black summer bushfires. Now its vulnerability to the elements has been eliminated thanks to a 33-million-dollar subterranean art gallery designed to protect and showcase Boyd's work.
