गुरुवार को Akali leader और पूर्व मंत्री Bikram Singh Majithia के Supreme Court में anticipatory bail याचिका पर सुनवाई हुई. सुनवाई के बाद सुप्रीम कोर्ट बिक्रम सिंह मजीठिया को बड़ी राहत दी. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मामले में मजीठिया की गिरफ्तारी पर 31 जनवरी तक रोक लगा दी है, सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पंजाब सरकार से सोमवार तक कोई कठोर कदम नहीं उठाने को कहा है. इस दौरन CJI NV Ramana ने हल्के-फुल्के अंदाज में कहा कि ये सब चुनावी बुखार के कारण है.

On Thursday, the anticipatory bail petition of Akali leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia was heard in the Supreme Court. After the hearing, the Supreme Court gave great relief to Bikram Singh Majithia. The Supreme Court has stayed the arrest of Majithia in the case till January 31, with the Supreme Court asking the Punjab government not to take any coercive steps till Monday. During this, CJI NV Ramana said in a light-hearted manner that all this is due to election fever.
