Sasak Tribe, the indigenous people in Lombok, has a unique "Kidnapping the Bride" tradition, which was brought on during the local dynasty era.

Lombok is related to the Balinese in language and ancestry. However, the Sasak are predominantly Muslim, while the Balinese are Hindu.
