The estimated project cost of the new Parliament Building has shot up by nearly 24% to about Rs 1,200 crore due to additional works, changes in construction plan, and also to comply with the directions of the Supreme Court. The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has sought an in-principle approval of the Lok Sabha secretariat for the revised estimated cost, sources said. Watch video,
