On January 13, 12 coaches of the Bikaner-Guwahati Express train derailed in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district and some overturned. In this accident, at least 7 passengers died and more than 50 people were injured, considering the seriousness of the matter, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has left for the spot from Delhi on the night of 13 January itself.

पश्चिम बंगाल के जलपाइगुड़ी जिले में 13 जनवरी को बीकानेर-गुवाहाटी एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन के 12 डिब्बे पटरी से उतर गए और कुछ डिब्बे पलट गए. इस हादसे में कम से कम 7 यात्रियों की मौत हो गई और 50 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हो गए, मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव 13 जनवरी की रात ही दिल्ली से घटनास्थल के लिए रवाना हो गए हैं.
