S Somanath, renowned rocket scientist, has been appointed as the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as well as the Space Secretary. Somanath will succeed K Sivan who completes his extended tenure on January 14. Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan congratulated S Somanath on his appointment as the chairman and the Space Secretary. Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) tweeted, “Best wishes for major gains in space journey under his stewardship.” Watch the video to know more.
