Ethereum Rivals Soar

As the global market cap starts to rise and apex tokens Bitcoin and Ethereum struggle to find a foothold, Ethereum rivals are gaining quickly. The Internet Computer token, which was designed for a cloud-computing project built by DFINITY, has jumped over 34% in the past 7 days. The platform bills itself as a general-purpose blockchain for Web 3.0 decentralized apps—the 3rd major blockchain innovation outside of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Previously, it reached an all-time high of just over $750 in May. Currently, ICP is trading at just over $34. Chainlink, a project that allows blockchains to interact with external data feeds with a total value secured of $75 billion, is up 31% over the past 7 days after previously reaching an all-time high near $53 in May. Chainlink also announced that it’s sent proposals to the Network Nervous Systems for hosted dApps and services that will completely decentralize. Currently, Chainlink is trading at just under $27.
