The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for Assembly polls of Goa, Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh on January 8. “No roadshows, padyatras, cycle or bike rallies and processions shall be allowed till Januart 15; the situation will be reviewed and fresh instructions will be issued later,” said CEC Sushil Chandra.
